This is an original press photo. Charles Treger, 27, a music instructor at the University of Iowa, today won the Henryk Wieniawski violin competition over 11 others in one of Europe's top musical events. Treger is the first non-European ever to win the contest. He is a native of Detroit, Mich. Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 11-18-1962.
