This is a lovely and interesting collection of late 19th century or early 20th century Studio Photographic Postcards, which would have been commissioned to announce a birth or maybe christening.

Ths collection comprises the toddlers being proudly displayed by their mothers, both parents, grandparents, or nurses.

In the order in which the photographs of the postcards appear:

1: Embossed to the front: Ellis Wolstenholme, Blackpool, nice clean condition, unposted, hand written date on the reverse.

2: Creased and small stain on the reverse, and hand written date on the reverse, unposted.

3: embossed Geo. Brown, Skipton the the front, nice clean condition, unposted.

4: On the reverse: JW Berry, Hudson Street, Rochdale, lovely and clean image, handwritten price on the reverse, unposted.

5: On the reverse: FB Wyles, Birch Studio, 124 Dickinson Road, Rusholme, lovely clean condition, unposted.

6: Creased, posted, with an interesting reference to Phil, who has to go into hospital in Chester, with his knee, following a visit from the Army doctor; I assume this could be from an injury sustained during the First World War.

7: Hand writte date on reverse, unposted, nice clean condition.

8: Dura Ltd on the reverse, with various hand written notes, unposted, nice clean condition.

9: On the reverse: baylis Photographers, Chorlton & Stretford, handwritten name and number also, unposted, hand written greeting to the front, nice clean image.

10: Rare Brazilian example, Photographia S. Paulo Duque de Caxias, hand written stock number to reverse, unposted, nice clean condition.
