Rare image of the seated Buddha, bronze, Northern Thailand, early / pre-Lan Na period, 16th century or earlier

Seated in dhyanasana on a lotus throne with a beaded upper rim above a ring of small vertical splints.
The head is covered with small curls, precisely arranged in lines. Please note the large, impressive radiance with traces of gilding.
The eyes with pupils are downcast. The ear lobes are rather short.
The full lips are fine and detailed executed. The shoulder is rather tight and the right arm with the earth touching gesture (bhumisparsha mudra) is long and slender.
The thumb of the right hand is in the same length as the fingers.
All these features are typical for Buddha images of the early Lan Na period (probably as early as Fang).
The statue appears in perfect proportion and with a superb dark natural patina.

condition:
Cracks to the base and body, partly restored, hair-line crack to the neck, with repairs.
Considering the age and history, the bronze images is still in rare good condition.
