Seated Buddha, bronze / brass, Kandy style, Ceylon / Sri Lanka, around 1900

The Buddha is seated in half lotus position on a waisted lotus-vine pedestal, the right hand in abhaya mudra.

The flaming siraspata, typical for Sri Lankan Buddha images, emerges from the head. Wheels incised on the right foot. The robe is decorated with wavy lines.
