Rebound with leather spine, five raised, gilt bands and black and gilt title label to spine. Earlier leather boards retained with gilt ruled border. Measuring approx. 18.8cm x 14.9cm x 2.3cm. Couple of minor scuffs and bumps to board edges. An attractive volume. Internally there are more recent endpapers to front and rear and reinforced strips to inner edges. Ink name and date to inside front board (Walter Radcliffe 1794), and ink doodle to free endpaper. The title page is trimmed/little chipped to edges and has been pasted to a later blank. Frontispiece little closely cropped to top edge. The dedication (A3, A4 B1) are lacking and have been supplied in facsimile. Small corner repair to last text leaf. One leaf is a little frayed to edges, (affecting inner letters) and has small repair (see photos). Single worm hole to rear three quarters of the volume and a couple of holes/small run to rear quarter of the volume. Lacking portrait and further illustrated leaf (C1). Light scattered grubbiness, occasional mark, else overall in good and firm condition for age.

Daniel Featley, (1582 – 1645), was an English theologian, Puritan, controversialist and chaplain in ordinary to Charles I of England.
This is his most controversial work and is a collection of passionate speeches, essays, prayers, oaths, and letters concerning Anabaptist, views of baptism, including child baptisms.

  • We use several services for overseas shipping, under 5kg usually shipped via Royal Mail Tracked. Heavier shipments or faster courier services are available, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred method.

Packaging
All our books will be carefully and securely packaged in custom made book boxes (The majority of which are produced Carbon Neutral). We aim to send all items within 24-48 hours of payment.
