Base fabric is white cotton. Pretty, intact hand embroidery  - likely made from a transfer kit, popular with homemakers - sort of like samplers, but on bedding.

Hand washed, line-dried, never any starch and no discoloration

Pre-loved beautiful vintage item! Looks like they were rarely used. Laundry-care tips: You can machine wash these, but hand-washing would be preferable. If machine washing, I would put them in a garment bag or rubber band them, and if possible, remove before spin cycle - to preserve integrity of stitching, you wrap these in towels and roll them up, then hang or dry flat. These are in great shape but that’s how you prolong the integrity of the Embroidery.
