Offered for your consideration is this Antique Discontinued EAPG Jefferson Amethyst Glass Seven Piece Berry Set with a Scalloped Skirt Base & Upper Rim & Hand Painted Colored Enameled Flowers. It is an original complete set with the master berry bowl & the 6 individual serving bowls/sauce dishes. The Jefferson Glass Company was founded in 1900 in Steubenville, OH and operated there until 1908, specializing in the making of their beautiful colored glass. In 1908, the company moved to a new location in West Virginia and sold many of its Steubenville, OH glass molds to the Northwood Glass Co. This large berry bowl measures approx.. 8 1/2" in diameter & stands about 3 1/4" tall. The small bowls are 4 1/4" diameter and 2" tall.  Each one sits on a scalloped skirt base and has a crown like scalloped rim edge treatment at the top. All these amethyst glass pieces have hand painted enameled pink & white flowers with green & gold leaves. The large bowl has a painted enameled open flower and a bud with leaves repeated three times around it. The smaller bowls have a bud with leaves repeated three times around them. All the pieces are in marvelous condition with only 3 minor flakes that I have found. 1 flake on the bottom scalloping on 3 of the berry bowls (see photo 9 for the best visual). They are so minor but I mention this for accuracy sake. This set would make a wonderful gift for any occasion, whether it be birthday, wedding, anniversary, or a 'just because' :)
