And Many Other Important and Valuable Aids To The Study Of The Holy Scriptures, All Written To Increase The Interest In The Word Of God" was published in 1886 by The Bible Publishing House in Syracuse, New York. It measures 12" x 10 1/2" and is almost 6" thick, weighing almost 13lbs! It is in good shape for its age, with some minor wear to the covers and spine, but nothing major. The clasps work with no problems. The binding is starting to split in the front - see pictures (typical with these large Bibles) but everything is intact and this could be repaired. It has contains some family history in the middle, but is otherwise free of writing, rips, tears etc. There is a few minor spots and smudges here and there and the pages are slightly toned, but it is still a very attractive copy with no damage to the text. It has "2000 Scripture Illustrations on Steel, Wood and In Colors" throughout, including some by famed illustrator Gustave Dore. The section for family photos is intact with no major damage. The gilt of the tooled leather covers is in good shape and is still very bright. This giant antique Holy Bible is in beautiful condition for the age and is ready to become a treasured family heirloom! These giant antique Bibles are getting harder and harder to find in really nice condition. What an absolutely gorgeous old Bible!
