Antique iron betel cutter in form of a horse with openwork mane, Madura, Indonesia

Horse-shaped cutters were popular in Bali, Java, Madura and Sumatra.
The horse with an openwork mane is a common form of Madura cutter (source below with a very similar piece on page 103, no. 134)

Surface with engraved decoration. No sheaths. 19th century.

condition: old wear, all signs of use over a long period. The tip of the mane probably broken and lost.
