Fender USA 'Original' Vintage Reissue series, '60s model ('65 style) Stratocaster.

Having grown up buying and playing a stream of Fender Japan vintage reissues, starting with an early JV Squier model, I have generally avoided the much pricier US versions.

But got very interested in this model some time ago.

They were very well received, and had features such as a sligtly chunkier, D profile neck shape (as opposed to the slimmer C of US '62 reissues) that suits me, "laminated" fingerboard application, and one nod to modernity, a 9.5" radius fingerboard with higher than normal standard vintage frets.

All good.

Just like the original 64/65 Strats, these also have quite high output enamel wire pickups.

These last guitars before CBS started messing with Fender products, were like the pinnacle of the original builders innovation.

I finally gave into temptation and bougt this 2nd hand but totally mint a few months ago, and absolutely loved it.

Definitely on the bluesy, rocking side of Strat tone, helped by those pickups and not being too light, it's a killer guitar for someone.

But as I have other good Strats and felt guilty about buying it, I kept it completely mint while deciding if I could justify keeping it, and have now decided someone else should have it.

I am quite certain you won't be disappointed.

Could also become collectable.

Now discontinued, this is the only non-Custom Shop repro Fender made of this uniquely featured 64/65 version of the Stratocaster.

I keep forgetting to take and add more photos, will do soon !

Absolutely mint, unmarked, showroom condition, 3 tone sunburst. Case and all accessories.
