BGM BigBox Sport V2 for Vespa PX125, PX150, LML 125-150

Performance like a racing exhaust - look like a series exhaust

The BGM BigBox Sport V2 is a thoroughbred Vespa racing exhaust, in the unsuspected design of an original exhaust. It positions itself as a clear alternative to large and flashy resonance exhausts. The high performance readiness clearly sets the BBS2 apart from other box systems. Designed for performance-oriented drivers who appreciate the benefits of an inconspicuous vehicle.

NEW BBS V2

The basic concept has been retained and merely adapted to the increased requirements due to higher engine power and displacement. Thus the BGM BBS2 (=Big Box Sport V2) has enlarged pipe cross-sections inside the box as well as in the tailpipe area. This effectively prevents the power fading that often occurs with very powerful engines (above 30 hp).

Furthermore, the often criticized ground clearance of the manifold was changed. The system is now fully suitable for everyday use and has the same ground clearance as a comparable resonance exhaust.

As with the Big Box Touring V2, the BBS2 now also has a connection tab between the manifold and the exhaust body.

REQUIREMENTS

The BGM BBS2 requires, like any good racing exhaust, a powerful engine concept to develop its full performance. In the environment of cylinders like the Quattrini M1X, VMC Crono or Malossi MHR it offers impressive results. It easily supports engine power above 25hp and pushes forward with rich torque. Despite its high peak power, the Sport Box gets in early and also allows for leisurely riding. Due to its consistent design for high throttle flow, the BigBox Sport is not intended for use with near-series engines or tame tuning cylinders. It requires a clear and powerful exhaust pulse to fill the Sport Box's large volume and thick manifold with life.

ACOUSTICS

Due to the high engine output, the BBS2 cannot be a 'quiet' exhaust. As with all exhaust systems, there is always a balance between muffling volume and the displacement the exhaust system is designed for. With the very confined space underneath a Vespa, it is therefore very difficult to accommodate the necessary silencing volume for an engine of 220cc or more without sacrificing performance. The BBS2 therefore represents a compromise between maximum power capability and acceptable noise levels.

PRO:

Close to stock appearance

Peak power like a resonance exhaust

No power hole

Wide rev band

More top speed

Fits Rally/Sprint without modifications

Solid construction with clamp on cylinder

Handmade in Europe

CON:

Not for 8 inch tires (ground clearance too low)

Not for standard engines

The manifold is attached to the cylinder by means of a clamp. This gives the best stability over a loose mount with an o-ring seal and prevents damage to the exhaust flange. For optimum ground clearance, a long spacer should be used on the rear shock.
