This fabric is from an antique maru obi. Maru obi is the most formal type of kimono belt, nowadays it's only used for weddings or by professional performers (such as Geisha or Japanese traditional theatre). Other types of obi are usually only patterned on one side, but maru obi is fully patterned on both sides (hence double the width of standard Japanese obi fabric).

Condition: Overall in excellent antique condition (there's a crease in the middle, as this part was folded in the original obi). Since it's an antique fabric, there may be some imperfections, such as fraying around the edge, pulled threads, minor stains, etc. Please see photos for details.
