Old 1925 Prohibition Whiskey Pint Bottle Prescription Doctor Pharmacy Bar Texas

Welcome

&

Thank You for Shopping In the USA!

A great original 1925 Texas Prohibition Prescription:  Alcoholic Fluid prescribed:  Whiskey...Oi (one pint bottle)...Zss q 6 hrs...for General Debility! Texas was the only State to issue their own prescription during the Prohibition.  The script is long and interesting to read. Please see photos!

From the days of Al Capone, flappers and moonshine this was the only legal way to drink liquor in the US!

The whiskey was prescribed for the doctor's wife on September 25, 1925, and was filled the same day by Pharmacist, Jacob Schrodt, of Griffith's Drug Co, in Terrell, TX.

The prescription measures 6 1/2" x 6 1/4", has three folds, a long corner bend and a paperclip indentation at the top, otherwise, condition is excellent...a great Texas whiskey script!

This is a fantastic piece of history and would be great to display in a pharmacy, doctor's office, museum, bar or office! Also a great gift or an addition to a collection of pharmacy, medicine, US currency, Alcoholics Anonymous, Capone, 1920s, bar, Americana, stamps and DEA items!
