On auction, we have an antique cast iron mechanical bank by J. & E. Stevens stamped "Patd Dec 28 1873". This is their "Tammany Bank" as stamped on both sides. Our Boss Tweed holds your coin in his hand, deposits it in his breast pocket and nods his head. He's wearing a black suit, yellow vest and bow tie. His paint appears to be original. This measures 6" tall, 3" wide and 4 5/8" deep. Sturdy, he weighs 1 pound 12.8 ounces.
I believe this bank is in very good condition. There is wear on the paint. I see no cracks or other flaws. Someone has already deposited a coin inside for you. As I am not an expert, please see my photographs for more description.
These belongs to my friend who is moving to a much smaller home and parting with many of his treasures. Now, he is selling his antique cast iron toys and banks.
I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping when possible.
