Vintage Limoges Porcelain Herend Fishnet Style Rabbit Topped Trinket Box
This beautiful estate item is a vintage Limoges figural rabbit trinket box, measuring 3-1/2" long by 3-1/4" to the top of the bunny's raised ear.
The rabbit is painted in blue in Herend's famous "fishnet" style and accented with gilded paws, nose and tail.
He sits up on a raised dome decorated with embossed carrots, grass and cattails, all painted in shades of blue. The largest carrot sits just under his nose.
The box is banded with finely embossed brass and has a rabbit clasp. A little blue carrot is painted on the inside bottom and the base is stamped with the green LIMOGES FRANCE mark #5, dating to post-1891. Hand signed "Peint main" along with the artist's initials.
