Description of the reverse
On the reverse of the coin, on a mirror background, the abbreviations EU and UA are placed, which, intertwining, create a visual symbol of the unity of Ukraine and Europe. The two letters "U" are as if one whole, forming the image of a new life that is sprouting under the auspices of the European Union. Around the inscriptions ДЕН / ЕВРОПИ / EUROPE / DAY twelve stars are depicted, as on the EU flag, symbolizing the unity, integrity and harmony of the peoples of Europe.
Obverse description
A stylized trident, a symbol of Ukraine, is placed in the center of the obverse of the coin. To the left of the trident is the official slogan of the European Union, UNITY IN DIVERSITY (above in a semicircle) and the inscription UKRAINE (next to the trident, vertically). At the bottom of the coin is the denomination 5 with the graphic symbol of the hryvnia, the minting year is 2024 (vertically) and the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine. To the right of the trident is a floral ornament symbolizing the prosperity and original culture of the state, as well as the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine
