A wonderful old vintage ASCO cast metal unusual bird money box
This is a beautifully made cast metal money box of a cute bird or chick, it has really nice cast detail of feathers, beak eyes etc. There is a stamp on the base which says " Made in England" & "ASCO" It was originally painted brown with red detail at the beak. A great small size to fit in anywhere you want to admire this guy!
This is a a genuine old money box, we are guessing 1920's manufacture - Perfect to create avian interest to your home, or as a fabulous unusual gift.
Approx size- height 3 inches/ 7.6 cm, Width (wing tip to wing tip) 3 inches/7.6 cm,
Depth (beak to tail) 2.75 "/ 7 cm.
Condition- This Money box is in a worn condition, in line with many years of being lovingly handled the paint has been mainly rubbed off. However the structure is sound, and all the detail of its moulding is intact. Likewise the hinge and clasps are all working- no lock but can be closed with latch. Please check all pics.
