Brown glazed baluster pedestal vase, Angkor period, Northern Thailand or Cambodia, 12th to 14th century

Classic type of baluster form vase with the typical shape of the opening. Horizontal band dé-cor from shoulder to neck. Presumably once closed with a lid, these vessels were used for ritual purposes.
