This is a vintage advertising label for the number 083 Springfield "Take Down" bolt action .22 rifle sold by the J. Stevens Arms Company.

The label is made of card material and features the Springfield logo. It is an original sales label from the early 20th century, specifically from J. Stevens Arms Company of Chicopee Falls, Massachusettes.

There is a packet stapled to the label for a Hooded Ramp sight insert.

The label is of brown card and is in relatively good condition as images, if a little oilly and smelling of antique gun oil! A great addition to any gun collector's collection.
