This is a rare first reprint edition of Laurie Lee's "Cider With Rosie", published in 1959 by The Hogarth Press in London. The hardback book is beautifully illustrated by John Ward.

It is a first reprint of the original edition. The book contains the original sentence on page 272 “There was a fire at the piano-works almost every year, it seemed to be a way of balancing the books…” which was amended in later editions due to a lawsuit - See photos

The dust jacket is missing. The book has slight water stain on cover which does not effect pages or text. It is in good all round condition. No owner’s signature etc. Hardly any foxing - the pages & illustrations are clean and bright.

The book will be dispatched quickly to the new owner and packed carefully for postage.
