Mafac tandem brake lever set. Made in France in teh 1960`s / 1970`s period. These special levers have twin cable outlets on one lever and a single outlet on the other. This set comes complete with an original brass Mafac cable adjuster on the single cable side and Mafac ferrules on the twin cable side (the twin cables were set up with an inline cable adjuster on each cable apparently hence no adjusters on that side).
If you look carefully you will see that the profile of the two levers is subtly different- this is how they were supplied by Mafac to the Peugeot factory that these came from and I`ve seen this with other sets of these Mafac tandem levers before. It seems that Mafac had perhaps changed the design of their single cable levers but didint do the same for the twin cable version or perhaps they just had some left over - who knows? It`s not an issue in use and most people would not notice this unless informed of the difference. Very rare in new old stock form.
Condition - These are new old stock in the open Peugeot bags that they came in. They have been machine polished to bring back the original shine to the alloy. Please see all photos.
