You are looking at a fully branded, Ayrton Senna 30th Anniversary Edition version of the 1:43 Williams-Renault FW16 resin model of Three-Time Formula 1 World Champion Ayrton Senna  - made by resin and diecast German model manufacturer Minichamps (Product Code: 543 941833).

The 1994 FIA Formula 1 World Championship moved to the Autodromo Enzo E Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola for the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.  With Ayrton Senna suffering two DNFs to start the season while young German driver Michael Schumacher stormed to two victories, the Brazilian came into the event 20 points behind and looked to make amends by taking a hat-trick of pole positions for the Grand Prix on Sunday.  The weekend by this point, however, was already overshadowed by Rubens Barrichello's violent crash in Friday Qualifying, then the death of Simtek driver Roland Ratzenberger in the Saturday session.

After a start-line crash involving Schumacher's teammate JJ Letho and the Lotus of Pedro Lamy that led to a Safety Car, the race was restarted on lap 5.  With Ayrton leading a chasing Schumacher, on lap 7 the Williams FW16 suddenly snapped right toward the Tamburello walls through oversteer going at 192mph, sending the Brazilian hard into the wall at 132mph, wrecking his car and, with the resulting debris of suspension parts piercing his helmet, killed Senna almost instantly.  Now 30 years on from that fatal crash, the Brazilian is still remembered as being one of F1's greatest ever drivers.

The model features Ayrton's Williams-Renault FW16 as it raced on that fateful weekend of the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix in Imola.  It is a 30th Anniversary Edition of this model and is limited to 994 pieces worldwide. It comes with Ayrton Senna branding on the box and also has a "dirty" race aged effect on the model, mostly on the tyres. It comes with full Rothmans tobacco branding (decals provided by Minichamps) which have been applied to the model.

The model and box are both in new condition and comes with a cellophane sleeve for the outer box.

Thanks for looking :)
