Antique 19th Century Samson Porcelain Double Ended Bonbonniere / Snuff Box

Unusual, rectangular shaped, double ended snuff box or bonbonniere manufactured by Samson during the 19th century. Each end has a hinged lid which lifts to reveal separate compartments, one has the painted makers mark inside.  One of the hinges is partly broken, it does open / close but, when open, the lid can be slid off and on the hinge pin.  This lid also has a small gap between the lid and body.  The other hinge is in good working order and the lid opens and closes fine.  The metalwork is most likely made of copper but could be brass, I have no way of testing which.

The base colour is white with each side painted with a courting couple in green tones with red borders.  The four large panels each have a different scene and the two lids have identical scenes.  The porcelain is in a good condition with no visible damage.

I want you to love your purchase so I always try and list any damage I’ve noticed but just in case I miss something, I also include photos taken from all angles, so please check these out.
