Ole Miss fans, get ready, presented is a never before seen 1947 media guide of the Ole Miss Rebels, which may have originated from the short lived Delta Bowl played January 1st, 1948.

As shown inside, this was completed by Will Carruthers in conjunction with Billy Gates, Publicity Director at Ole Miss. The Colonel is shown in full charge on the cover, with the 1947 schedule listed out below him. Rest of pages picture all the Ole Miss players, including Charley Conerly, football Hall of Famer.

What evidence given that this originates from the 1948 Delta Bowl is that all advertising inside is Memphis only, this is where teh game was played in 1948 and 1949, the only 2 years.

Secondly, and stronger is inside this guide is a one-sheet indicating the probable starting line-ups of Ole Miss and TCU, the participants of the 1948 edition.

Measuring 5 1/2" x 9", both guide and sheet are in very good - excellent condition. Some yellowing has occurred from age, still presents nicely and cannot take away the absolute rarity of this item.

Also, this was John Vaught's first bowl game and win!

Anything from this game is difficult to find, this piece will definitely upgrade your Rebels collection. Both items are ready to be added to your collection.
