1944 Press Photo Laborers carry buckets of latex at New Guinea rubber plantation

This is an original press photo. Papuan native laborers on a New Guinea rubber plantation carry buckets of the liquid latex slung on poles over their shoulders to a factory for processing. The production of rubber has been resumed in this area, under Australian Army control, with the Japanese retreat northward Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches. Photo is dated 01-21-1944.
