I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.

Please see below for grading details.

I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.

A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.

All records are sent out in plastic covers.

CAN`T HELP THINKING ABOUT ME / AND I SAY TO MYSELF.

ORIGINAL 1966 PYE UK  7" SINGLE - 7N.17157.

A super rare 45 to locate. My grading below is strict and the disc plays very well.

This is the solid canter pressing.

The Record / Visually Good+ / G+ condition. Visually the disc has a fair amount of light surface wear and light marks. The record has no deep or nasty marks that stop play. This is not a trashed example but is also NOT perfect. I grade strict and fair and also grade under strong halogen bulb.

I will give a play grade of  VG+, the record plays very well on both sides and is great to play.

The Labels / VG+ condition. Both labels are in decent condition with just some spindle marks.

The Cover/ VG+ condition. Original Pye cover in clean shape.

The disc is now housed a a new polylined cover as seen in the pictures.
.................................................................................

I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.

Mint - as new and in perfect condition.

Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.

Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear.  The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!

Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.

Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.

Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.

Thanks for looking.
