Here a genuine AE3 roman coin.

Dug up by nomads near ruins in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan.  

Sold to a Beirut store vendor then purchased by me in the early 1970's there in Beirut.

Pop had a job at the American University there and enjoyed the local ancient history.

He met a German professor who showed him where to buy coins.

I was but 16 years at the time so went with him to sort through coins.

We poured over pans full of coins buying the better condition ones, was lots of fun.

I am now 68 yrs and time to share these great finds.
