The Singer Featherweight is one of the most popular sewing machines with the longest manufacturing run of any model from 1933 - 1960's with no major redesigns. It's excellent piercing ability is strong enough for making jeans and sensitive enough for sewing through silk chiffon.  It's portability is also a favorite feature. Adored by quilters and the occasional sewer alike.

This 1951 - 221 Featherweight model, Serial #AK618171, was produced on Oct. 31st in Elizabethport, N.J., USA. It was delivered to a local Singer Sewing Center and was used as a demo model until the owner retired in 1980. It was never sold to the public and only then used on a very rare occasion. It is in excellent condition showing only some marks on machine bed. The Gold accents are bright and intact. It has been thoroughly checked, lubricated and oiled. It runs like a dream and very quiet. It retains all the accessories that were original to the machine and includes 8 bobbins, extra needles, seam ripper, screw driver, booklet and feet as shown. The original case with key shows only light wear with one small corner area of wear. The foot pedal is in like new condition and the electrical cord & plug are also in like new condition. The belt is supple and has years of work yet to do. One of the nicest machines I have seen in a long time. I guarantee you will be pleased with this purchase! Additional pictures available upon request.

I have a box of additional Singer accessory foots that were from this Sewing shop but am not sure if compatible. Buyer has option to include in purchase if desired for no additional cost. Accessories shown in above photos were ones in original case.
