This antique printing block (along with others we currently have listed on eBay) comes to you estate-fresh from an old Brooklyn, New York brownstone that we recently liquidated. Found packed away in the old basement workshop they most likely haven't been touched in several decades if not more.
It pictures what seems to be a wheel mechanism for some sort of machine (rollers on a cylinder printing press perhaps?). "R. HOE & CO." is noted along one of the arms (in reverse as can be expected). "H - 1 - 4" stamped into wood on one side.
Metal on wood construction. Measures 2-3/4" by 2-1/2" by 7/8".
Overall nice antique condition w/ a century's worth of general wear.
