Elgin 452 G.M. Wheeler Solid 14K Gold Open Face 12 Size Pocket Watch ca. 1928.  This vintage Elgin G.M. Wheeler, grade 452, model 4, size 12, open face pocket watch has a solid 14k white gold case measuring approximately 44.5mm in diameter x 2 inches long including bow.  The case has a high polish finish.  The case back is engraved "Presented to R.A. Hobbs in token of our Affection and Esteem - Employees of The United States Pipe and Foundry Company - August 1937".  The case is in excellent condition with very little wear for it's age.  The Art Deco style metallic dial has silver/black Arabic numerals, blue kite hands, a seconds register at six and is marked "Elgin".  The dial is in great condition.  The crystal is in good condition.  The hinged case back and dust open, close and secure properly.  The inside case back is stamped "Cased And Timed By Elgin National Watch Co. - 14K Solid Gold - Wadsworth Quality - 1333927".  The inside dust is stamped "14K".  The movement is stamped "Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. - U.S.A. - G.M. Wheeler - 30126807 - 17 Jewels - Six Adjustments".  All screws and jewels appear to be in good condition.  Stem wind and set.  This watch is running.  No guarantee of future performance.  This vintage Elgin G.M.
