This is a solid rock/slash blues style ovedrive pedal from the 2000's aimed at simulating the breakup that occurs when a tube amp is pushed. This it does pretty well, giving a good controlled breakup and boost, rather than full-on distortion.
There are stories about it being based on a famous overdrive from Nadine's store in Hollywood (probably the Vesta Fire overdrive re-labelled) recommended to Danelectro by Brian Setzer. Whether true or not it produces a good, warm overdriven sound. IT may not have an enormous range of sounds, but does the amp breakup warm overdrive sound well, ideal for blues/rock.
