Vintage Barbie Roman Holiday Coat, Dress Straw Headpiece, Necklace 1959 Original
This is from my personal collection.
This is the R version which was produced later in 1959. Has Barbie Tag R in coat only; Roman Holiday sheath dress does not have a tag. Both the coat and dress are in great condition. The coat's red half lining has some minimal fraying near left arm hole; see pictures. The red and white ribbed coat with gold buttoned front and gold buttons on pocket fronts are all intact. The sheath dress is perfect, all stitching intact, no holes or split seams; white plastic belt has one hole and great metal intact buckle.
The beautiful vintage all original accessories in this outfit include:
- Black rimmed cat eye glasses; lenses intact, both arms open and close
- White plastic purse; intact gold bead and gold metal latch
- White hankie
- White short tricot gloves
- Single pearl on gold chain necklace, completely intact
- Black open-toe heels; no splits, left marked Japan
- Red straw cord hat/headband with intact cord bow, very hard to find, intact band on inside shows some hand stitching
