Offered for your consideration is this HEAVY Antique Unusual Design Pair of Fireplace Andirons which we believe to be Icelandic Norse Viking Rune Fireplace Andirons Chenets Cast Iron Firedogs...and they look so stylish that we could see then being used in any western setting ie cabin, ranch home etc. These substantial front guard andirons weigh in at roughly 40 lbs each and are quite unique in the style and design. After researching and reaching out to a few helpful sources we believe these to possibly be of a Viking / Icelandic origin. No breaks or damage of any kind and they have been untouched and uncleaned. These are wider than any other andiron specimens I have found and very few have the massive bases that these carry. What a bold statement they make. Each one measures 20-1/2" high x 16-1/2" wide x 8-1/2" deep. They will be double boxed for their safety but I have empathy for the carriers that will have to transport them as they are no lightweights.
