Generally in very good condition. Just slight external wear.
The covers are in very good condition with normal wear. There are some superficial patches of fading on the rear cover and slight bumping and grubbiness to the edges, but no other markings or damage.
The spine cloth is also in very good condition with normal wear. The gilt title is rather faded. No markings or damage. Just faint bumping to the top and bottom edges.
The binding is excellent.
The pages are in excellent condition, with very little wear and just slight discolouration at the edges. No markings or damage.
The 16 maps and plans are all in place. They are in excellent condition with very little wear and no markings or damage.
Overall, in pretty good condition for a book which is nearly 120 years old.
