The R8 Competition packs a serious punch, with the 570-horse total representing a 20-hp boost from the V10 plus model. That power breathes through a sport exhaust with gloss-black tailpipes and hurtles the aluminum screamer to 60 in a claimed 3.2 seconds on its way to a 199-mph top speed. The Competition comes with carbon-ceramic brakes but is available only with the seven-speed paddle-shift S tronic transmission. On the aesthetic side, the special edition uses matte-black carbon fiber for the mirror caps, front and rear aero pieces, side blades, and rear diffuser.
The Audi R8 V10 Competition was a special edition variant of the Type 42 Audi R8. The limited production R8 Competition was exclusive to the US market, and was only offered in the coupe body style. These cars were powered by a 5.2L V10 engine that had an output of 570hp which it sent to all four wheels via a 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. In addition to the more powerful engine, the Competition was given a range of carbon fiber interior and exterior details. Just a total of 60 examples of the Audi R8 V10 Competition were built, all of them for the 2015 model year.
