There’s damage to the lip of this unusual jug, but it’s still very decorative, displays well and could be used as a flower vase. From the style I think Victorian, with raised decoration of leafy branches around the body and a foliate mask / Green Man’ just below the lip. Ther base has a raised ‘cartouche’ style mark with ‘41’ - I haven’t been able to track down the maker so any info very much appreciated!

CONDITION - the chip mentioned, plus a little surface wear and a very fine hairline crack near the mark on the base - this doesn’t go through to in inside though. Despite these issues, still an attractive piece!

MEASUREMENTS - around 17.2cm tall, 15cm wide and 21cm across handle to lip
