ITEM DESCRIPTION
This is an antique Georgian wood mahogany or teak box with a set of brass fold-out guinea coin scales inside.
Some of the original paper instruction label is still stuck on the inner lid.
I can't see any maker's marks on the metalware or woodenware.

The push button catch on the end of the box does NOT work as well as it should and does not open sometimes, so I will be leaving this OPEN for you to have a look at.
Its a typical folding guinea coin scales and lots of hinged brass parts. A small slider on top as well to get the weigh correct for other denominations too by the look of it. Which goes from 0 - 3 - 6 - 9 - 12.

The box measures approx. 130mm (5 and 1/8 inches) x 24mm x 12mm.
