This unique and fun glazed cachepot (not for direct planting) by is made in Deruta, Italy and signed by the artist. Whimsically decorated by hand with loosely doodled and handpainted roosters and floral in vibrant ruby, seafoam green and gold coloring over a white base color. This traditional folk-renaissance art is a great example of much sought after majolica ceramics. Pot is in very good preowned condition with only some soil residue on the inside bottom that won't be seen once a plant is inserted. There is also a small chip on bottom that is also not noticeable. Measures approx. 5.75" tall by approx. 5.75" in diameter.
