This pristine  New England schoolgirl sampler was worked in Chichester township, Merrimack County,NH; and is accompanied by a very rare, historic original CDV photograph of the sampler maker ABIGAIL MOULTON and her husband ASA TILTON ROWELL....as well as their  marriage record in period, 1800s calligraphic penmanship.  Abigail was born August 16,1809 to parents Jacob Moulton and Nancy Tilton in Chichester NH, and worked her vibrant sampler there in "1822". This New England historic gem is so very rare to find, with both the sampler and period photo of the sampler maker (as so often they are sold separately by family through the years).....but in  this case, preserved together by descendants, and as a result this unusual family grouping has endured as a New England time capsule.
