Seated Shan Buddha in bhumisparsa mudra, 2nd to 3rd Ava (In-Wa) period, 17th - 18th century, Burma (Myanmar)

Antique Buddha statue, bronze, completely covered with a shining thick black lacquer, richly 24 ct. gilded with the typical warm colours of Burmese gold.
Traces of red lacquer on the rim of the base.

The two lateral loops installed left and right on the base were applied for the placement of a pair of devotees, which are lost, unfortunately.
