Inmate Billy Veal helps Rose Patton off with her newly made "dashiki" - an African shirt - in work area at Framingham State Prison, during a coeducational living experiment at the institution. After three weeks everyone involved is happier than before. Under the new program, the men and women at Framingham are together except for the time they spend in dormitory-like cottages.
