In 1938 , immediately prior to the outbreak of World War 2 , Pupier Chocolates issued a series collection of cards featuring various countries of the world . Each country had its own mini - series of cards . The cards each measure approx 2.5 ins x 2 ins on thick card with detailed rear text in French , including card number and product details  .Good overall condition . These are now very rare in complete groups and totaly original forming a historical record of the world as it existed in 1938 .6 cards in total .
