You are bidding on an A H Grebe Model CR-8, 1-tube regenerative receiver from 1921.  It is in very nice complete original condition, except that the cabinet has been refinished.   It uses the 3-circuit regenerative circuit with variometer-variocoupler-variometer, and 1 tube detector.  The detector tube included is an RCA Radiotron UX 200, but it has an open filament.  The circuit is the same as in the CR-3, with the addition of the detector tube.  Often the CR-8 was accompianied by a RORK two stage amplifer to drive a horn speaker.  The set is one of the highest quality sets which were made under the Armstrong Regenerative Patent.   It  measures 22 1/2 by 7 inches at the front, and is 7 1/2 inches deep, not counting the controls.  It is a desirable early set that would be great for your collection.  Shipping weight is 20 pounds.  No shipping to China.  Please see my other auctions for more interesting radio and audio items and tubes.
