Harvard Graphics 2.3 for DOS w/Manuals & Disks NIB

Dave's Vintage PCs brings you another rare find ...

You are bidding on a VERY RARE copy of the Harvard Graphics for DOS Version 2.3 w/Original Manuals and Disks.  This vintage copy is from the late eighties and is copyrighted  by Software Publishing Corporation.  It is NEW and is still in its original factory shrinkwrap.

Harvard Graphics from Software Publishing Corporation was market leading business software, developed especially for business professionals (like myself) who needed to creat effective presentations.  Its intuitive interface and superior ease of use allowed you to produce charts and graphs instantly, whether you’re preparing you first presentation or are an experienced user.  this kind of flexibility was truly unheard of in the mid eighties (my opinion).

Acknowledged as the corporate standard in graphics software, Harvard Graphics gave us practically limitless charting and graphing options (by our 1980s standards).  Its full-featured drawing capabilities meant your images could be customized easily to suit your individual needs.  Harvard Graphics also gave us a complete range of output capabilities, so your charts could appear on paper, overhead transparencies, 35 mm slides, or free running computer ScreenShows.  Just a few years ealier this was the territory of specialized publishing equipment.

When you use Harvard Graphics, you’ll have the power of:

Superior Charting Capabilities – A gallery of charts allows you to select pre-defined chart styles visually, then designate options and color schemes to create sophisticated graphics automatically.  Choose from a broad selection of text chart styles, including title, bullet, column, and organization charts.  Your data driven chart type options are virtually limitless, and include bar, line, pie, area, curve and trend line, scattered graphs, histograms, semi-long, log-log and dual Y axis charts.  This was the strength of HG for mid-eighties users!

Advanced Drawing Tools and Symbol Libraries – Harvard Graphics makes the drawing tools most frequently used for customizing presentations easily accessible.  Users with higher-end drawing needs can take advantage of the powerful drawing capabilities of the Draw Partner accessory product, now an integrated part of Harvard Graphics.  Automatically bring the chart you are working on into Draw Partner and access such features as freehand drawing, circular text, rotation, zoom, skew and perspective.  Tour charts remain linked to data, allowing for further editing in Harvard Graphics if desired.  Then enhance your charts and graphs by adding one of over 500 new, high-quality symbols including maps, flags and business oriented images.

Screenshows – Create self-running or manually controlled computer ScreenShows with special transition effects for maximum visual effectiveness.  And with Harvard Graphics uniques and revolutionary (for the time) HyperShow feature, you could link to multiple slides as needed to access backup data rather than moving only sequentially through your presentation.  Add impact by including one of Harvard Graphics animated sequences to illustrate important business concepts.  Use HG's ShowCopy command to copy an entire ScreenShow from one subdirectory to another.

Harvard Graphics also includes the following convenient features –

  • Integrated spelling checker
  • DOS Shell allowing access to up to 7 applications without exiting Harvard Graphics
  • Speed keys to streamline routine operations
  • Seven font options and support for multiple fonts per chart
  • Macros for automating frequently performed tasks
  • Mathematical and statistical calculations for data analysis
  • Ability to output charts to Autographix overnight slide service via modems (is Autographix still around?

Harvard Graphics facilitates your connectivity with –

  • Easy import of Excel, Lotus 1-2-3 charts and data
  • Automatic data links to Excel, Lotus 1-2-3, ASCII files
  • Import/Export CGM metafiles
  • Export of chart files to Professional Write

  • The original Harvard Graphics slipcover
  • Harvard Graphics User's Manual for Version 2.3
  • Harvard Graphics Symbols Reference Manual
  • Harvard Graphics Draw Partner User's Guide
