are a medical professional looking for the best in drug screening
products and services, a UK employer seeking to reduce the impact of
drugs and alcohol in the workplace or a parent interested in home drug
tests, you have come to the right place.
If you
suspect that your teenage child, employee or pupil has been using some
sort of illegal drugs in the last few days, but you do not know which
ones, multi-drug tests enable you to test for several drugs at once.
Our tests are simple to use, reliable and rapid. The way they work is by detecting and
identifying traces of up to 7 drugs in the person’s urine, so that
within 5 minutes you will be able to see – for certain – which drugs
have been taken.
You will need to collect a urine sample. Simply dip the multi-panel
tester into the sample and the sensor strips will give you your answers.
These best-selling tests have become the industry standards and are
widely used in companies, schools and drug-rehabilitation centres.
Drug tests are becoming an increasingly important tool for parents and
partners in today's binge drinking and drug abuse culture among young
people. However, many parents aren't even aware of the existence of
accurate home drug test kits, let alone know how to find them or buy
them online.
This
drug test will test for the 7 most common drugs in the UK.
COCAINE, HEROIN, SPEED, METHADONE, BENZO's,
ECSTASY &
CANNABIS.
You will receive 1 individual test kit which will test for all the 7 main drugs
used in the UK and as listed above. The proper chemical names of these
drugs and the various other street names used are shown further down the
page. All tests have a long expiry date.
Benefits of the 7 in 1 Drug Test Kit:
-
Save time: clear results in 5 minutes or less can greatly reduce
the time you spend drug testing samples. Negative results may be
visible in under a minute.
-
Trust your results: The 7 in 1 Drug
Test products are CE Marked,
The preferred choice of many customers, especially companies.
-
Simple & Easy to use: just hold in a sample of urine for 10-15
seconds and read the result.
-
Cost effective: Seven drug screens in one drug test! Covers
seven common drugs of abuse
-
Accurate: All elements 97-98% accurate in laboratory tests.
-
Convenient: Test in the privacy of your own home.
-
Delivery: Product shipped by Royal Mail in discrete
plain packaging with no markings as to the contents.
-
Low opiate sensitivity: set to 2000 ng/ml, this drug test has a
lower rate of false positives from poppy seeds in bread which when
taken to excess can trigger a positive test. This has never been
much of an issue but has been used in the past as an excuse in
company screening. However this drug test has the benefit that
codeine use in over the counter medication is less likely to be
detected.

Who uses drug tests?
We tend to find that many of the parents purchasing home drug testing kits from
us are actually trying to support and assist adult children. These are typically
young people aged 18-25 who have gone out into the world and have developed a
drugs and / or alcohol addiction and their parents are attempting some form of
active drug intervention by adding structure and support.
In many cases, this can be a stressful and uncertain time, so being able to get
all of the information and advice you need is essential. It is our position that
having a home drug test regime in place firms up the young person's resolve in
dealing with their drug addiction and allows them to prove that things are
improving.
As everyone knows, peer pressure is a fact of life for teenagers and children,
and in a society where around half of 16-29 year olds have used an illegal drug
in the last year, peer pressure should not be overlooked. Having home test kits
available to detect drugs or alcohol can make all the difference. Knowing that a
test at home is possible - or even likely - takes the temptation out of some
young people's minds, and it provides a legitimate get-out for those who are
under pressure from their friends to try drugs in order to fit in.
What home drug testing options are available?
In the last decade, the rise in drug use in society has been accompanied by
an increase in the amount of drug testing that is carried out. Many employers
now screen their employees for illegal drugs and alcohol as a way of improving
health and safety within the workplace. On-site drug testing kits are
commonplace in many different healthcare settings to monitor abstinence or to
offer prescriptions. These exact same test kits are available from Drug-Aware
for use by parents or partners for home drug testing their children or family
members to help deter or monitor drug use.
Disclaimer: As with any on-site test, you must be aware that the results
need to be confirmed by an alternative methodology before the results will stand
up in court. This is particularly important when looking for Heroin - which is
found amongst a class of drugs called Opiates. There are legally available
over-the-counter and prescription Opiates as well as Heroin, which may trigger a
positive result.
How long can I detect drugs using a home test kit?
Drugs will start to be detectable in someone's urine sample within an hour or
two of using them (sometimes less). After this period, different drugs will
remain detectable in urine for different lengths of time, but this window of
detection is usually measured in days. For example, Opiates or Cocaine can
be detected in urine for typically 2-4 days, perhaps as long as 5 days at the
extreme. Stimulant drugs like Speed or Ecstasy (Amphetamines and
Methamphetamines / MDMA) can take a little longer - from 2 to 6 days.
Are the tests CE
approved?
All the diagnostics tests we sell are CE marked & FDA approved.
Under European Union legislation (the In Vitro Devices Directive), all home diagnostic tests require a CE mark to be sold legally in the UK.
This law aims at protecting consumers by imposing strict security and quality
rules to manufacturers. It is also enforced by the Medical and Healthcare
Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
How do I perform the
Test?
Allow the test card, urine specimen and/or controls to equilibrate to room
temperature (15-30°C (59-86°F)) prior to testing.
1. Remove the test card from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible.
Remove the cap from the end of the test card. With arrows pointing toward the
urine specimen, immerse the strips of the test card vertically in the urine
specimen for at least 10-15 seconds. Immerse the test card to at least the level
of the wavy lines on the strip, but not above the arrows on the test card.
2. Replace cap and place the test card on a non-absorbent flat surface. Start
the timer and wait for the coloured line to appear. The results should be read
at 5 minutes. Results remain stable for up to four hours after test initiation.
How do
I read the results? NEGATIVE*: Two lines appear. A coloured
line appears in the Control region (C) and a coloured line appears in the Test
region (T). This negative result means that the concentrations in the urine
sample are below the designated cut-off levels for a particular drug tested.
*NOTE: The shade of the coloured lines in the Test region (T) may vary.
The result should be considered negative whenever there is even a faint line.
POSITIVE: A coloured line appears in the Control region (C) and NO line
appears in the Test region (T). The positive result means that the drug
concentration in the urine sample is greater than the designated cut off for a
specific drug.
INVALID: No line appears in the Control region (C). Insufficient specimen
volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for
Control line failure.
Read the directions again and repeat the test with a new test card.
Information on Test Cut-off levels / Drug Retention Times:
The cut-off level is the level at which a diagnostic test determines whether a
sample is positive or negative. The level at which a sample becomes positive
varies from drug to drug but is based upon the research and guidance of SAMHSA
in the USA (the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). You
may have heard of NIDA cut-off levels, which are essentially the same, but were
established by the predecessor of SAMHSA (the National Institute on Drug Abuse).
The principle behind the cut-off level is for all laboratories and rapid tests
to test at the same level, so that wherever a test is conducted, the patient
will be assessed by the same criteria and that results from one region are
comparable with those of another. More importantly, the cut-off levels are
set at a point that is high enough to rule out passive smoking and low enough to
ensure that a patient must have abstained from the drug to test negative.

Drug
Information - Effects, symptoms and retention times for Cannabis (THC),
Heroin, Cocaine, Amphetamines and more:
The One
Step Drug of Abuse Test is a competitive immunoassay utilizing highly
specific reactions between antibodies and antigens for the detection of
multiple drugs and drug metabolites in human urine without the use of an
instrument.
AMPHETAMINE(AMP 1000)
also known as Speed, Whiz, Uppers, Dexies
Amphetamine is a Schedule II controlled substance available by
prescription (Dexedrine®) and is also available on the illicit market.
Amphetamines are a class of potent sympathomimetic agents with
therapeutic applications. They are chemically related to the human
body's natural catecholamines: epinephrine and norepinephrine. Acute
higher doses lead to enhanced stimulation of the central nervous system
and induce euphoria, alertness, reduced appetite, and a sense of
increased energy and power. Cardiovascular responses to Amphetamines
include increased blood pressure and cardiac arrhythmias. More acute
responses produce anxiety, paranoia, hallucinations, and psychotic
behavior. The effects of Amphetamines generally last 2-4 hours following
use, and the drug has a half-life of 4-24 hours in the body. About 30%
of
Amphetamines are excreted in the urine in unchanged form, with the
remainder as hydroxylated and deaminated derivatives.
The AMP 1000 assay contained within the One Step Drug of Abuse Test
yields a positive result when Amphetamines in urine exceed 1,000 ng/mL.
This is the suggested screening cut-off for positive specimens set by
the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA,
USA).
Amphetamines are detectable in urine using this drug test kit (AMP) for
2 to 6 days at a cut-off level of 1000 ng/ml.
BENZODIAZEPINES (BZO) also known as Benzos, Tranx
Benzodiazepines are medications that are frequently prescribed for the
symptomatic treatment of anxiety and sleep disorders. They produce their
effects via specific receptors involving a neurochemical called gamma
aminobutyric acid (GABA). Because they are safer and more effective,
Benzodiazepines have replaced barbiturates in the treatment of both
anxiety and insomnia. Benzodiazepines are also used as sedatives before
some surgical and medical procedures, and for the treatment of seizure
disorders and alcohol withdrawal. Risk of physical dependence
increases if Benzodiazepines are taken regularly (e.g., daily) for more
than a few months, especially at higher than normal doses. Stopping
abruptly can bring on such symptoms as trouble sleeping,
gastrointestinal upset, feeling unwell, loss of appetite, sweating,
trembling, weakness, anxiety and changes in perception. Only trace
amounts (less than 1%) of most Benzodiazepines are excreted unaltered in
the urine; most of the concentration in urine is conjugated drug. The
detection period for the Benzodiazepines in the urine is 3-7 days. The
BZO assay contained within the One Step Drug of Abuse Test yields a
positive result when the Benzodiazepines in urine exceed 300 ng/mL.
Benzodiazepines are detectable in urine using this drug test kit (BZO)
for 2 to 14 days (depending on the drug) at a cut-off level of 300 ng/ml.
COCAINE
(COC 300) also known as Coke, Crack, Charlie
Cocaine is a potent central nervous system (CNS) stimulant and a local
anesthetic. Initially, it brings about extreme energy and restlessness
while gradually resulting in tremors, over-sensitivity and spasms. In
large amounts, cocaine causes fever, unresponsiveness, difficulty in
breathing and unconsciousness. Cocaine is often self-administered
by nasal inhalation, intravenous injection and free-base smoking. It is
excreted in the urine in a short time primarily as Benzoylecgonine.
Benzoylecgonine, a major metabolite of cocaine, has a longer biological
half-life (5-8 hours) than cocaine (0.5-1.5 hours), and can generally be
detected for 24-48 hours after cocaine exposure.
The COC 300 assay contained within the One Step Drug of Abuse Test
yields a positive result when the cocaine metabolite in urine
exceeds 300 ng/mL. This is the suggested screening cut-off for positive
specimens set by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Administration (SAMHSA, USA).
Cocaine is
detectable in urine using this drug test kit (COC) for 2 to 5 days at a
cut-off level of 300 ng/ml.
MARIJUANA (THC 50) also known as Weed, Pot, Grass, Hash
THC (D9-tetrahydrocannabinol) is the primary active ingredient in
cannabis (marijuana). When smoked or orally administered, THC produces
euphoric effects. Users have impaired short term memory and slowed
learning. They may also experience transient episodes of confusion and
anxiety. Long-term, relatively heavy use may be associated with
behavioral disorders. The peak effect of marijuana administered by
smoking occurs in 20-30 minutes and the duration is 90-120 minutes after
one cigarette. Elevated levels of urinary metabolites are found within
hours of exposure and remain detectable for 3-10 days after smoking. The
main metabolite excreted in the urine is
11-nor-D9-tetrahydrocannabinol-9-carboxylic acid (D9-THC-COOH).
The THC 50 assay contained within the One Step Drug of Abuse Test yields
a positive result when the concentration of D9-THC-COOH in urine exceeds
50 ng/mL. This is the suggested screening cutoff for positive specimens
set by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
(SAMHSA, USA)
The active
ingredient of cannabis (THC or Tetrahydrocannabinol) is detectable using
this drug test kit (THC) for typically 14 to 28 days for frequent use of
the drug, or around 5 days for a one-off use, at a cut-off level of 50
ng/ml.
MDMA
also known as Ecstasy, E, XTC, X
MDMA or Ecstasy (3-4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine) is a synthetic drug
with amphetamine-like and hallucinogenic properties. Known as E, Adam,
ecstasy, XTC, and X, MDMA often comes in tablet form. This is commonly
considered to be a dance or 'rave' drug used by younger people. External
physical symptoms of use include muscle tension, involuntary teeth
clenching, nausea, blurred vision, rapid eye movement, faintness and
chills or sweating. Please also be aware that higher doses of
Ranitidine (a medication used to control stomach acid) has been known to
give a positive result on numerous brands of Methamphetamine test kits.
Please determine any recently taken medications prior to conducting the
test. A genuine Methamphetamine or MDMA positive sample will frequently
prove positive on the Amphetamine (AMP) test as well because Amphetamine
is one of the breakdown products of those drugs.
MDMA, or
Ecstasy is detectable in urine using this drug test kit (MDMA) for 2 to
6 days at a cut-off level of 1000 ng/ml.
METHADONE (MTD)
Methadone is a narcotic analgesic prescribed for the management of
moderate to severe pain and for the treatment of opiate dependence
(heroin, Vicodin, Percocet, Morphine). The pharmacology of Oral
Methadone is very different from IV Methadone. Oral Methadone is
partially stored in the liver for later use. IV Methadone acts more like
heroin. In most states you must go to a pain clinic or a Methadone
maintenance clinic to be prescribed Methadone. Methadone is a long
acting pain reliever producing effects that last from twelve to
forty-eight hours. Ideally, Methadone frees the client from the
pressures of obtaining illegal heroin, from the dangers of injection,
and from the emotional roller coaster that most opiates produce.
Methadone, if taken for long periods and at large doses, can lead to a
very long withdrawal period. The withdrawals from Methadone are more
prolonged and troublesome than those provoked by heroin cessation, yet
the substitution and phased removal of methadone is an acceptable method
of detoxification for patients and therapists.4 The MTD assay contained
within the One Step Drug of Abuse Test yields a positive result when the
Methadone in urine exceeds 300 ng/mL.
Methadone
is detectable in urine using this drug test kit (MTD) for 2 to 8 days at
a cut-off level of 300 ng/ml
OPIATE (OPI, MOR, MOP) also known as Heroin, Smack, Dope, Junk
Opiate refers to any drug that is derived from the opium poppy,
including the natural products, morphine and codeine, and the
semi-synthetic drugs such as heroin. Opioid is more general, referring
to any drug that acts on the opioid receptor. Opioid analgesics
comprise a large group of substances which control pain by depressing
the central nervous system. Large doses of morphine can produce higher
tolerance levels, physiological dependency in users, and may lead to
substance abuse. Morphine is excreted
unmetabolized, and is also the major metabolic product of codeine and
heroin. Morphine is detectable in the urine for several days after an
opiate dose. 4 The OPI 2000 assay contained within the One Step Drug of
Abuse Test yields a positive result when the concentration of opiate
exceeds the 2000 ng/mL cut-off or positive specimens set by the
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA, USA).
Use of
Heroin is detectable in urine using this drug test kit OPI for 2 to 5
days at a cut-off level of 2000 ng/ml. Low opiate sensitivity, set
to 2000 ng/ml, this drug test has a lower rate of false positives from
poppy seeds in bread which when taken to excess can trigger a positive
test. This has never been much of an issue but has been used in the past
as an excuse in company screening. However this drug test has the
benefit that codeine use in over the counter medication is less likely
to be detected.
