Here is an early 19th century hand colored engraving titled Maison de Paysan du Canton de Berne pres Kiesen by Rudolf Muller. Engraved by R Bodmer. (Possibly K Bodner). Published in Zurich by Keller & Fussli. Possibly from the 1830s 50 image series Glacier du Rhône with added tint. Fine aquatint views of the most scenic regions of Switzerland, originally issued in a publisher's elaborate album. This title is included in that series. But I am not sure this is from that collection. This plate is appx 10 ¼" x 14 ½". The main image is very good. There is some soiling and rubbing to the border. Also a light pencil notation down the left edge.

The Canton of Bern is the second largest of the 26 Swiss cantons by both surface area and population. Located in west-central Switzerland, it borders the Canton of Jura and the Canton of Solothurn to the north. To the west lie the Canton of Neuchâtel, the Canton of Fribourg and Vaud. To the south lies the Valais. East of the canton of Bern lie the cantons of Uri, Nidwalden, Obwalden, Lucerne and Aargau.
