(Internal #W1-A)  These are real emerald beetle wing cluster dangle earrings, LARGE wings average 2" long, on silver color hypoallergenic French wires. This is the NATURAL color of the beetle that you see.

From Thailand that is first eaten by taking off the wings to eat the nutty flavored meat within.  The beetle is then prepared as an item of jewelry, a brooch, pin, or in this case earrings.  The beetle wings are drilled and multiple wings made into earrings. 

A highly unusual item, quite beautiful, NOT for the faint of heart, but a fascinating conversation piece to wear for those that like to keep people guessing.  They even make a pretty sound as they move against each other.
