What Size Spice Tins do I need? Spices are sold by weight. Our spice tins are sized by their volume. Grocery store bottles (about 4" high) generally hold about 1.8 oz. by weight. But put the contents in a measuring cup and the spice will measure between 1/2 and 3/4 cup.(4 oz. or 6 oz. Spice Tins). Visit Spice Tin Sizes and Specifications page

Which Magnetic Option do I need?First Rule>>>Magnet-on-Magnet is a weak connection. Metal-to-Magnet is a strong connection

  • Loose Magnetic Rounds
    • For Spice Tin Bottoms - Peel and Stick the Flexible Magnets to the bottom of the Spice Tins and stick your tins to any metal surface that attracts magnets
    • For a Surface - Apply the Flexible Magnets to any non-porous surface, such as the inside of a cabinet or smooth kitchen tiles, to give each Spice Tin its "own space"
  • Magnet on the Bottom - Nothing to do; simply fill with your favorite spices, office supplies, sewing or craft supplies and stick them to any metal surface that attracts magnets. Consider a Versa-Board, available in three sizes and lots of decorator colors
  • Flexible Magnetic Strip- Apply the Flexible Magnetic Strip to any non-porous surface, such as a pantry door or inside a kitchen cabinet. The Spice Tins with No Magnet on Bottom will stick securely on the Strip
  • No Magnet--Just the Spice Tins will be shipped. If you purchase a Flexible Magnetic Sheet, this the option you want for your Spice Tins. Remember the First Rule. The metal bottom goes on the Magnetic Surface

Something Else to Consider  Some ground spices, particularly Ground Clove, react with the clear plastic window material. We've tested every clear plastic we can find and they're all the same. So we recommend using a solid lid tin, like our Limelight, or buying a Mixed Tin Set to handle spices like Ground Clove and any spice blends containing ground clove. In our own test kitchen, we have only had this experience with Ground Clove.
