Ingrid Bergman

Ingrid Bergman (August 29, 1915 - August 29, 1982), classic Swedish film actress popular in the 1940s, starring in a variety of European and American films. Original, vintage, 8 x 10 promotional photograph with Jean Marais and Juliette Grieco from the film "Paris Does Strange Things." Dated 1956.

"Elena and Her Men" is a 1956 film directed by Jean Renoir and starring Ingrid Bergman, and was her first film after leaving husband Roberto Rossellini. The film's original French title was "Elena et les Hommes" and in English-speaking countries, the title was "Paris Does Strange Things."

Bergman won three Academy Awards, two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards and the Tony Award for Best Actress. She is ranked as the fourth greatest female star of American cinema of all time by the American Film Institute. She is best remembered for her roles as Ilsa Lund in "Casablanca" (1942), a World War II drama co-starring Humphrey Bogart, and as Alicia Huberman in "Notorious" (1946), an Alfred Hitchcock thriller co-starring Cary Grant.
