Soapstone Incense Burner

You will receive one hand carved green soapstone incense burner. This burner is carved from solid stone into the shape of a Lotus flower and in the center of the stone flower is an indentation to place the incense cone. Around the center are 4 holes where you can also burn up to 4 incense sticks as well. For best results, I would recommend using this burner primarily for incense cones. While this burner is suited to burn incense sticks, the falling ash from the incense stick would not be collected into the burner itself but rather collect onto the countertop. Incense burners may become hot during use, we always recommend placing incense burners on a heat resistant surface. The burner measures 3.5" wide by about 1" tall and fits into the palm of your hand. The soapstone is thick and sturdy, and easy to clean. Wash gently with water and/or mild detergent, avoid scrubbing as you may scratch the stone, allow to air dry.

Soapstone is created by nature, composed of talc, quartz and various minerals that has compressed over millions of years. Soapstone has many properties that make it desirable for carving, including its softness, which makes it easy to work with. Soapstone is also resistant to heat, making it a good choice for fireplaces, wood stoves, and cookware.
